Description

We present here our eclectic design lamps of the Labruja collection, a subtle combination of tradition and modernity. Tradition through the finely worked motifs that give these lamps a unique cachet. Modernity using laser-cutting, with a structure finely cut and adjusted to a tenth of a millimeter and manual painting and assembled.

Made from 2 layers of plywood, finely laser-cut into two superimposed patterns forming a complex tangle that casts a fascinating, subdued light on the walls. The interior motif, with its blue-green chalky paint, is derived from the traditional Japanese “Asanoha” pattern. The outer pattern is derived from a typical Portuguese pattern found in the “Azulejos”. The superimposition of the two patterns forms a complex, harmonious geometry that filters light and prevents glare. The shadows cast on the walls create unique, mesmerizing patterns that will delight the eye and add a sophisticated touch to your interior design. A unique object to embellish your living room or bedroom.

This lamp model requires about 8 hours of laser cutting because of its intricate motifs and its 2 layer structure (10 panels with the top). The outside layer is varnished by hand and is proposed in 2 colors at the moment (Caoba/Mahogany and Wenge). The interior layer is painted with a chalky paint proposed in 2 colors as well (Chalky Cactus green and chalky olive green). The lamp base made of solid 10mm MDF laser cut, assembled and polished with a metallic patina available in 2 colors (Bronze, Copper). Other color combinations can be provided on customer demand.
